Today is a free dress day in support of the Smith Family! Remember that appropriate dress guidelines apply. Donations will be collected during 1st period.
The following guidelines should be followed:
No shorts, but joggers are fine
No holes in pants or jeans
Sleeveless shirts are acceptable, as long as they are not “tank tops” or do not have spaghetti straps and bra straps are not showing.
No leggings
Tops don’t have to be tucked in, but they may not be too low cut at the neckline and must not expose the midriff.
No flip flops
Your Loyola Lacrosse team had a huge victory over Benton with 16 Flyer goals! The offense dominated as Holland Marrs and John Paul Zaffater each scored four goals. Colin Huckabay and Gray Burch scored three, and Mason Drake and Hart Snyder each scored one. Goalie Wyatt Lofton, with the support of defensive players Max Mayeaux, Jude Cormier, Jack Budziszewski, and Jake Thomas, kept the Benton Tigers to only two goals. The final score was 16-2. Go Flyers!

Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 02.26-03.01.2024. https://forms.gle/zZGmAAZQUWH6YwZe8- The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
LCP played Holy Savior Menard on Tuesday in the first tennis match of the season.Girls team had wins in singles from Julia Braud and Kathryn Elberson. Girls team also had doubles wins from Addison Knox / Sadie Green and Chloe Barre / Gabrielle Ghali. The boys teams had a doubles win by Sanders Graf / Ravi Ahuja. Next match is against Airline on Tuesday, Feb. 27th at the Bossier Tennis Center.

There will be one last spirit night fundraiser for the upcoming senior trip to Europe. It will be on Tuesday, 2/27 at Dillas on Pierremont from 11 AM - 8 PM, so the kids can get it for lunch after the ACT or for dinner that night. If students order online, they need to use the promo code "SPIRIT," and if they go in person, they need to mention that they are there with the Loyola fundraiser at checkout.
On Tuesday, February 27, all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, as well as 5 seniors, will be involved in PreACT and ACT District testing and will report to school. (If you are not one of the 5 seniors who has opted to take the ACT in order to better your score, you will not need to come to school at all on February 27). There will be no classes on that date. Students will only be involved in testing, and all will be dismissed at approximately noon.Keep in mind that school will be in session for ALL (including seniors) on Monday, February 26, and attendance will be taken.
There will be a mandatory varsity cheer interest meeting in the Loyola cafeteria on Thursday, Feb 22nd at 5:30. All students interested in trying out are required to attend.

St Joseph Seminary Come and See Vocations Retreat weekend will be held the weekend of March 22-24 at St Joseph Seminary, Covington LA.This retreat is open to young men ages 15-25. .Leading this spring’s retreat will be Father Raney Johnson and Father Kelby Tingle. Service Hour Opportunity - Diane Chudley of Luv Michael volunteer program would like to set up a Zoom call meeting with students for Tuesday, March 5th @ 6pm. This would be a chance for them to know more about the program and ask any questions they may have. She will be sending the Zoom link soon which Ms. Barker will then share with you all. Please, encourage students to attend the Zoom call along with Ms. Barker if they are interested in helping Luv Michael.

Service Hour Opportunity - The Overton Brooks VA Employee Association is hosting an Easter egg hunt on March 23, 2024 from 8:30 - 12:00 for children ages 0-10 years old. (Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, 510 E. Stoner Avenue, Shreveport). They need assistance with food distribution, leading egg hunters, face painting, leading games and craft projects. Service Hour Opportunity -St. John Berchmans is looking for reliable student volunteers for their Vacation Bible School - Scuba, Divining into Friendship with God from Monday, June 3rd through Friday, June 7th.

Parents, as a reminder, please do not park in the parking lots in front of the school buildings, AndersonBuilding or along Cicero Dr. The front of the school and the Anderson Building are for staff parking and the spots along Cicero have been paid for and reserved by our students. If you would like to park and wait with your student until school begins, you may park in Lot #3 which is at the corner of Cicero Drive and Margaret Place. Although that is reserved student parking as well, there are more spaces available to accommodate you.

NEW Loyola Rosary Group - During the Lenten season the Rosary Group will hold a Joyful Mysteries Moderate Floor Workout led by certified Rosary core instructor, Allyson Lawson on Monday Mornings at 8 AM beginning 2/26 in the Volleyball Lounge located in the GYM. Join us as we integrate the prayers of the Rosary with core strengthening, stretching and movements to nourish the body and cultivate innerr peace.
