Honor Graduate Program

Students who wish to go above and beyond graduation requirements and take a rigorous course load may earn the designation of a Scholar Graduate.

ELIGIBILITY

The goal of the scholars program is to offer a challenging academic journey for students showing exceptional ability in either the humanities or math and science. Students' percentile rank in the verbal sections and math sections of the Loyola entrance exam and grades in the humanities and math and science courses in eighth grade determine placement in this prestigious program.

REQUIREMENTS

• As many Honors courses in grades 9 and 10 as possible, so as to meet prerequisites for and enable the student’s ability to perform sufficiently in Advanced Placement (AP) courses needed.
• Completion of 5 AP courses during the 11th and 12th grade years (Some situations allow AP courses during the 9th and 10th grade years).
• Students must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5. by graduation.
