September 11, 2023Announcements for Monday, September 11, 2023 - Today is a B day.
- The Sophomore Retreat is TODAY at St. Mary of the Pines, 1050 West Bert Kouns, Shreveport, LA from 7:45 - 2:30. This is a regular school day and attendance will be taken.
- Congratulations to the Loyola Cross Country Team for finishing 3rd place out of 25 teams at the Border Dash XC Meet in Bossier City! The Girls XC Team was led by Kathryn Elberson (28:33.30), followed by Teresa Fields, Sarah Roppolo and Sophia Boggs.The Boys XC Team was led by the Top 10 Runner Tripp Roemer (16:35.50). Followed by Mark Henry, Carter Ward, Landon Hooper, Mathis Stanberry, Reese Jacobs, Rhys Armagost, Nick Kampert, Collier Franklin and Carter Spohr.
- JV Football at North Desoto tonight at 5:30PM
- A Loyola College Prep Dance Guest Form must be completed for guests from other schools who will be accompanying any LCP student to the homecoming dance. The form must be returned to the office no later than 2:30pm the Wednesday before the dance. You may print a copy of the attached form or pick one up in the office.

- The junior class shirts are now on sale for $23. We would like to wear this navy t-shirt for challenge day, please order yours here..
- There will be a Boys Golf interest meeting during the second half of lunch on Wednesday, September 13th in room 102.
- Yearbook Picture Retakes - Students who were absent on picture day or those who would like a retake (bring package), come to the Harrington House Studio on Sept 14th between 2:45-3:30.
- The Youth in 6th through 12th grades in the Diocese of Shreveport are invited to 2023 Gather. 2023 Gather will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 6:00-9:30 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church (4700 Palmetto Road, Benton, La 71006). The cost is $10 but please don't let that stop you from attending. This event will be an opportunity for youth throughout the deanery to “Gather” for food, fellowship, faith, and fun! The speaker for the event is Braden Johnson. He will speak about creating a culture of young people who are passionate and excited about their faith! Sign up forms are in each Religion teacher's classrooms and questions will be answered there. Sign up early!
- For the month of September, we ask that all students donate personal hygiene products for the Be Blessed Bags. These bags are for boys and girls in need in the Caddo school system. MiniVinnies will be collecting donations in the Religion classrooms until September 29th. Several of the regular-sized items to donate are as follows: toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, lotion, and soap. See the full list of items in your religion class. For more information, please contact Ms. Barker.
- If you are a student who wishes to join the Loyola Flyer Girl and Boy Powerlifting Team, you will need to register and pay your team fees using the following MySchool Bucks link: https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/prdembd?ref=ZZHNN9OEJC04EEM_ZZ605VDP7POOYCM The deadline to register is Friday, September 15th at 3pm.
- The first GARDEN PARK session of the year will be held on WEDNESDAY 13th at 9111 Linwood Avenue. The start time is 3 pm, and the end time is 3:45 pm. Let us show the elderly residents what it means to be a Flyer and to live our faith in action.
- Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 09.18.2023-09.22.2023. https://forms.gle/DqR6jyxxUfZmxXWX7 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions.
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. Mark’s Cathedral School is searching for volunteers to help at the first Kids on the Run Race!

- Attention Parents - Mark you calendars!!! - Senior Seating and Sponsorship Table Sales for the 70th Annual LCP Style Show start at 8:00 a.m. TODAY. There will be a table set up at 8:00 in front of the Anderson Building.
- 2023-2024 Student Directories are available for purchase in the Anderson Building or at LPA meetings. Cost is $5.00 cash or check payable to LPA (Loyola Parents Association.
