Announcements for Tuesday, November 1, 2022 - Today is a B day.

• Thursday, November 3rd will be a late start day.  The first bell rings at 9:15 and the tardy bell rings at 9:20. 

• Water, water everywhere…that is what we would like to claim! We need water bottles for Christian Service! Please bring water to the cafeteria this week before school! 

• SGA’s Hurricane Ian Relief Fundraiser is underway! The Senior Class has jumped out to an early lead, but it is still any grade’s race for the opportunity to claim the Senior’s early lunch dismissal. The results of Day 1 are:

Class of 2026- 46.21

• The celebration of life, Day of the Dead, is here and Honors Spanish 2 classes have created Catrina dolls as part of the celebration. Please go by the first floor of the main building and vote for your favorite. Use the link here to vote, voting will be opened from today until Friday November 4th. 

This year our main altar has a special meaning, please come by the second floor of the main building to see it and pray if you feel urged to.

• Come cast your vote for your favorite Biology student project! Biology students' projects will be available for viewing and voting on Tuesday, November 1st, on the second floor of the main building. Scan the QR codes posted on the walls near room 206 to learn more and vote!

• The Flyers will host the Delcambre Panthers in the first round of the Volleyball Bi-District Playoffs on Wednesday in the gym at 5:00pm. Since it is a playoff game, according to LHSAA rules, all fans must purchase a ticket.   Get yours here - https://gofan.co/app/events/763493?schoolId=LA23475

• Interested in a medical career? Come to a meeting at 12pm Wednesday, November 2, with a representative from A-HEC of a Summer, a local program that allows students to shadow local practicing healthcare professionals. This is a great addition to your college application! Please email Mrs. Clark to sign up for the visit. 
• Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here:  https://forms.gle/YZTU5WBio6e6vnom7  - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:30pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. ** Orders must be placed from the students Loyola Google account/email. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home.  No exceptions.

• The BloodMobile will be here Monday, November 7th for our LCP Blood Drive.  Sign up here to donate!  You must be 16 years old to donate.  Loyola requires a Minor Donor Permit signed by a parent/guardian for all student donors regardless of the student's age.  Download Minor Donor Permit here.

• LPA meeting at the Catholic Center at noon on Wednesday, November 2

• The Loyola Tennis team is hosting a Mixer on Saturday, November 19th at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club. All parents, students, alumni and friends are invited to play. The cost is $80 for adults and $40 for students.
