- The Junior Retreat will be held TODAY at St. Jude Catholic Church 4700 Palmetto Road Benton, LA 71006. Students must arrive AT ST. JUDE by 7:45AM in order to not be listed as tardy. Retreats count as a day of school. Doors will open at 7:20AM if someone needs to be dropped off early. Dismissal/pick up from the retreat is at 2:30PM. *Please refer to the previously sent Junior Retreat email for more details.
- The Girls and Boys Basketball Teams open their Home seasons today in the Loyola Gym with the girls varsity team taking on Plain Dealing at 6:00 pm and the Boys JV team playing against Green Oaks following the girls game. LCP students get in free with their Student ID (must have physical ID, no photos.) Tickets are $8 for the Varsity Girls game and $6 for the JV Boys Game. Loyola is now CASHLESS for athletic event entry. Tickets can be purchased online in advance using this link https://gofan.co/app/school/LA23475 or with credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at the gate. Children 6 and under do not need a ticket. - The Boys Varsity soccer team begins their Home season against West Ouachita tonight at 6:00pm at Messmer Stadium. LCP students get in free with their Student ID (must have physical ID, no photos.) Tickets are $6. Loyola is now CASHLESS for athletic event entry. Tickets can be purchased online in advance using this link https://gofan.co/app/school/LA23475 or with credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at the gate. Children 6 and under do not need a ticket. - Coats for Kids - Porter's Cleaners is collecting donations of new & gently used coats. There is a drop-off box located in the front office. Each year, with your help, Coats for Kids is able to distribute hundreds of coats across our cities! Donate today!
- Softball Fundraiser - Do you like baked goods? Well lucky for you LCP softball will be selling sweet treats at lunch every Monday of November! Be sure to bring $2 so you can support our team!
- Loyola College Prep is hosting a Veterans’ Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 16th - 9:20 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. at Cathedral Of St. John Berchmans. Loyola students will honor our veterans with a Mass, guest speaker and music. There will be a reception following in St. Vincent’s Hall. This celebration is for all parents, family members, alumni and community members.
- Fr. Raney Johnson, our Diocesan Vocations Director, will be hosting a Quo Vadis Vocations Retreat for young men in high school in the Diocese of Shreveport. The retreat is in Shreveport on December 9th and 10th. Please share this information with the high school aged young men in your parish. Interested students can register using the QR code on the attached flyer.
- Service Hour Opportunity - St. Joseph Catholic Church is hosting its annual St. Nick's Feast and Gumbo Cook-Off on December 2nd! There are service hours available for the feast or if you would like to participate in the cook-off, there is a sign-up for that as well! Please see the links below:

- Service Hour Opportunity - Mary’s Workers Seminarian Bake Sale is coming up November 18th & 19th. All proceeds will go to our Seminarians. You can earn 2 service hours by providing baked goods for sale. Any baked goods should be decorated, wrapped, and labeled. Please email Kay Nader at [email protected], if you would like to donate baked goods. If you are bringing baked goods, the days and times for delivery are as follows: • Saturday (11/18) from 1 pm until 4 pm, (you can deliver bake sale items to the gathering space in the back of church). • Sunday (11/19) 30 minutes prior to each Mass, (you can deliver bake sale items to the back of the church). Sunday Mass times at St. Joseph Catholic Church are 7:30 am, 9:30 am, 12:30 pm & 6 pm. The church address is 204 Patton Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71105.
- Service Hour Opportunities - The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana is partnering with Sportspectrum for the annual Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd. We need volunteers the week of Thanksgiving to help with race registration and packets at Sportspectrum. We will also need volunteers at the event Thanksgiving morning.
