REMINDER: School will dismiss at 2:00 on Friday B Days
LUNCH: Students must order lunch a week in advance via a Google form here: Week of 08.18-08.22.2025. https://forms.gle/LvPL4cSFiibQrET46 - The deadline to order meals for the week is FRIDAY at 2:00pm. Funds will be deducted from the student/faculty My School Bucks account. **Orders are charged even if they are not picked up. Orders can be placed from any email right now but will be restricted to LCP email addresses in a couple weeks. Orders not picked up by the 2nd half of lunch will be made available for sale. If you will be late due a meeting, test, etc, please arrange to have your lunch picked up. Due to our vendor agreement with our Cafe provider, fast food or delivery are not allowed. Lunch should either be ordered from the Cafe, or brought from home. No exceptions
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Please vote for Mason Drake as the Preseason Fan’s Choice Football Player of the Year.
MORNING DROP OFF REMINDER - We kindly ask parents not to pull into the parking spots along Jordan Street or Cicero Drive in the mornings to wait with your child before drop-off. These spots are reserved for our teachers, and when cars wait there, it prevents them from parking and getting into the building on time.
For everyone’s safety and convenience, please use the carpool line in the driveway to drop off your child. If you must pull up and wait, we ask that you do so further down the street away from teacher parking. Thank you for helping us keep our mornings running smoothly for both students and staff!
MASS DAY: Our first mass is tomorrow Friday, August 15. Please refer to your student handbook for proper mass attire.
FACTS Family Directory Launch - Please Review Your Settings
We are excited to share that the FACTS Family Directory feature will be enabled in the Family Portal on Monday, August 25th. This directory allows Loyola families to connect with one another, and as a parent, you have control over what information you choose to share.
By default, all information is set to share, but you can adjust your settings at any time:
Log in to your FACTS Family Portal.
Click “Family Home” on the left-hand menu.
Click the pencil icon to edit your information.
Open the Custodial Parent Form.
Scroll to the bottom to find the radio buttons where you can select “Yes” or “No” to block your name, address, and phone number from the directory.
You will also see the option to have FACTS email you a Grade Detail Report daily, weekly, or never.
These directory selections must be completed for each parent on each custodial parent form.
Please review and update your settings by Friday, August 22nd so they are ready for the directory release on Monday, August 25th.
BACK TO SCHOOL DANCE: “SGA is excited to be hosting this year's Back to School Dance.
When: Friday, August 15th from 7pm-9pm.
Where: LCP Gym
Who: Our Back to School Dance is for Current Loyola Students Only
Our themes this year are as follows:
- Freshmen - 1960's/1970's (Hippies, blue jeans, flower power, tie-dye, and peace signs)
- Sophomores - 1950's (Poodle Skirts, Leather Jackets, Sockhops, and Rock-N-Roll)
- Juniors - 1980's/1990's (Neon, HipHop, Graphic-tees, and backwards hats)
- Seniors - 1920's/1930's (Gilded Age, Gatsby, Flapper Girls)
Tickets are $7 before-hand, and $10 at the door. Pre-sale ends on August 16th at noon. You can purchase them at this link here. Cash will not be accepted.
JUNIOR CLASS BREAKFAST: Back to School Bonding Breakfast for all Juniors on August 18 from 6:45am -7:30am. There will be a breakfast buffet served at Monjuni’s on Louisiana Avenue.
Cost is $5 per attendee. All money goes to Junior Class SGA fund. In Kind Donation from David & Laura Alvis
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT- Parents are invited to join us for an inside look at their student’s school day. The evening will begin in the gym with updates from our administration, followed by the opportunity to walk through your child’s schedule and meet their teachers.

SNOOPY RUN: The 7th annual "Run, Run, Snoopy 5K" Saturday, August 23, will be full of fun, great food from Dillas, and Italian Ice Cream!
Currently, there are over 82 runners signed up!

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES
FOOTBALL CONCESSIONS: Back again this year, the faculty, staff and students will be running the concession stands at Messmer for Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. We are excited about this opportunity for students to earn service hours and life experience. We are asking students to sign up for games to sell concessions. The attached form is for the 2025 Football season. We will add the Soccer and Lacrosse schedule closer to their season openers. We will have the full concession stand on the Home Team's side and a smaller temporary concession stand on the Visitor's side.
We are looking forward to a great year.
Football -Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.
