FOOTBALL GAME: The Flyers (4-0) are at home this Friday, October 3! Our Flyers will take on the Minden Crimson Tide (2-2). Kickoff is at 7:00 PM at Messmer Stadium. JV FOOTBALL: The Monday JV football game against Bossier has been cancelled.

PIPELINE PATIO FOOTBALL RAFFLE: Pipeline is raffling off a chance to watch the October 3rd game vs Minden from their patio in the north end zone. BOOSTER CLUB TAILGATE: The football booster club will host a tailgate for Flyer families on Friday, October 3rd at Messmer Stadium starting at 5:45pm. Admission is free, but donations are how we cover our costs!!

FISHING TEAM: The LCP Fishing Team will be hosting an interest meeting on Wednesday during the 2nd half of lunch in the cafeteria.

CLOSE UP TRIP: Juniors and seniors have received emails with information about Close Up 2026.  If you are interested in attending please fill out the permission slip and email it to the office by 10.09.25. 

STYLE SHOW SPONSOR TABLES: The 72nd annual Style Show will be held at the Bossier Civic Center on Wednesday, November 12 at 11:30 a.m. If you are interested in purchasing a sponsor table you can use the link below or email Lila Knicely at knicelyl@gmail for more information.  The deadline to purchase a sponsor table is October 10th at 2:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, October 13th and more information will be sent out regarding those sales at that time.

SOFTBALL INTEREST MEETING: LCP Softball will be having a Parent/Student Athlete Meeting on October 7^th 5:30pm at the Athletic Complex Softball Field for all those interested in playing the 2026 Season. CHRISTMAS CARD CONTEST: 2025 Christmas Card Contest: It’s time to get creative! All Loyola students are invited to submit designs for this year’s official Christmas Card. To enter, email your design to Mrs. Jordan Harris at [email protected] or drop off a physical copy in the Anderson Building by Oct. 17 at 2:30 p.m.

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION: Loyola College Prep is hosting a Veterans’ Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 11th - 9:20 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. at Cathedral Of St. John Berchmans. Loyola students will honor our veterans with a Mass, guest speaker and music. There will be a reception following in St. Vincent’s Hall. This celebration is for all parents, family members, alumni and community members. We are asking all LCP families to send in pictures of their veteran family members with the family member's name and branch of service to [email protected]. The pictures will be used in a slideshow during the reception. Deadline to turn in pictures on Friday, Oct. 31st 

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES

ELKS CLUB HAUNTED HOUSE: Each year the Elks Lodge #122 hosts a Haunted House for the community.  This year, students have the opportunity to decorate and help with preparing the haunted house for visitors. 

The date for the Haunted House is October 25, so volunteering would take place in the evenings in the week leading up to the event.

GARDEN PARK SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: Garden Park activities are every Wednesday, from 3 pm to 4 pm, at 9111 Linwood Avenue in Shreveport. Each week, residents and students are encouraged to participate in different and fun activities. Students will receive 2 hours for each of these visits.

NORTHWOOD REUNION: Northwood High School is having a class reunion on October 4^th and needs volunteers. The reunion will be at American Legion from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. Contact Mrs. Johnson if interested.

FOOTBALL CONCESSIONS: Back again this year, the faculty, staff and students will be running the concession stands at Messmer for Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. We are excited about this  opportunity for students to earn service hours and life experience. We are asking students to sign up for games to sell concessions. The attached form is for the 2025 Football season. We will add the Soccer and Lacrosse schedule closer to their season openers. We will have the full concession stand on the Home Team's side and a smaller temporary concession stand on the Visitor's side. 

We are looking forward to a great year.

Football -Students will receive 5 service hours per Varsity game, if they stay the whole game.
